Glasgow Tigers have completed their 2020 team with the signing of Australian rider Justin Sedgmen.
Justin said he was looking forward to joining the Tigers after being impressed by the club and it’s owners:
“The new owners have put a lot of money, a lot of effort into the track and into the facilities, and with their promotion, they’ve definitely taken speedway, not just in Britain, but set the bar a bit higher everywhere else as well.
“I’ve got the Australian final and a few other meetings still to go here in Australia before I head over. Once I get them out the way, and try do my best in them, I’ll get some more practice in, and then hopefully head over to the UK on a high.
“I’ve just done a good training camp with Jason Crump and some of the British guys over in the gold coast. We learned some cool things and things we can do to get better, to train the mind and how to win as many races as we can. It all seems to be going in the right direction.”
Glasgow manager Cami Brown said he signed Justin based on a combination of factors:
“Justin was a no brainer on his average and I fully expect him to grow that comfortably.
“He’s experienced around nearly all the tracks we are going to and it’s great to have that mix of experience and youth in the team and I hope we have that balance spot on.
“I think after the last match he had at Ashfield for Sheffield confirmed it for me, he scored 14 points and looked incredibly quick, hopefully he can continue that form when he comes in for us!”
Justin completes the Tigers seven man team of; Craig Cook, Broc Nicol, Ulrich Ostergaard, Justin Sedgmen, Ricky Wells, Sam Jensen and Connor Bailey.
