Glasgow captain, starting his third full season, fourth in all, with the Tigers. He joined the team part way through 2010 as a replacement for James Grieves in his first foray into lower league racing. He had started as a 16 year old at Belle Vue where he stayed for 4 years before joining Bradford for a record fee. He then moved around a number of top flight sides, including Belle Vue again. Initially Glasgow tried to sign him for the start of the 2010 season but his average had been too high the year before, to drop down a league and Tigers were refused permission for his average to be reduced. He rode for Wolverhampton, attaining a lower average which allowed the Tigers to recruit him later that year. Unfortunately concussion ended his season early.
In 2011 he led the side to league glory and also won the Premier League pairs, this despite carrying a painful elbow problem which caused him to miss a handful of matches.
He returned in 2012 but after a good start early in the season his scoring slipped slightly as the team struggled to defend their title. Again he ended the season early due to injury.
He has an impressive international record. He was World Under 21 Champion in 1993, has ridden in 3 World Championship Grand Prix series, qualifying for a fourth but missed it due to breaking his thigh. Twice British senior and under 21 champion and was also the First Division riders champion in 1992. This gives Glasgow the unique record of having winners of the three levels of riders championships, riding in the same side.
