  • It’s a welcome return to Glasgow for James who rode for the Tigers in 2015, helping them to the runners-up spot in the play-offs. He had his best moments at reserve that season but spent the 2016 season in Ipswich’s 1-5 after Glasgow couldn’t fit him in, increasing his average in the process. He had also been doubling up with Coventry in the Elite League.

2017 saw him without any side after his only team, Coventry, had to withdraw a month before the season was due to start. He briefly returned to Ipswich as an injury replacement for Kyle Newman before linking up with Workington. Things didn’t go too well at Derwent Park, causing his average to fall by 2.5 points. However it was his late season guest appearances for Glasgow that showed he still had the capability to put 2017 behind him with some important scores in the cup and play-offs.
Was New Zealand Champion in 2015.
