- Name Aaron Summers
- Date of Birth 1/3/1988
- Age 27
- Hometown Adelaide, Australia
Final piece of the jigsaw for 2015 as Aaron eventually signed in January after protracted negotiations with Redcar over his transfer fee.
Started his UK career in 2007, riding for both Buxton and Edinburgh, famously scoring his first ever maximum at Ashfield.
He stayed with the Monarchs until 2010 when he joined Birmingham and also rode for Coventry in the Elite League. He then switched to Redcar for the 2011 season. He will be perhaps remembered for his crash with Richard Sweetman at Ashfield that season when the Glasgow man cleared the fence on the first bend. He doubled up for Coventry in 2012 and repeated the role in 2013 but was surprisingly left out of the Elite League in 2014.
At the time of writing he will ride only for Glasgow in 2015.
Like Nick Morris he has a good league winning pedigree being a league winner with Edinburgh and Coventry. He also was a member of Edinburgh’s play off winning sides of 2008 and 2009.
Was Australian U16 champion in 2004.
