A step closer to Shield semi-finals

Cami Brown speaks to Phil Lanning.

GLASGOW have taken a big step closer to the semi-finals of the Championship Shield after a last-gasp win at Newcastle tonight.

Cami Brown’s men twice fought back from a four-point deficit to seal a 46-44 victory and three points.

It puts them on 12 points and into second place in their group with a meeting in hand.

They’re in a strong position to qualify – either as winners of the section or the best runners-up – with Berwick, who are two ahead, having completed their fixtures.

Captain Craig Cook once again led the way with 14, losing to an opposition rider just once, though Claus Vissing took a nasty fall in heat 15 and his fitness will be monitored ahead of the KO Cup clash against Sheffield next weekend.

Watch Brown give his reaction to the win in our video above.
